Cleared to Fly helps you research whether an aircraft may be operated under sport-pilot privileges under the post-MOSAIC rule. It computes an informational verdict from aircraft data and published rule logic. It is a reference and research aid only.
Verdicts are informational and may be incomplete or incorrect. Eligibility depends on calibrated figures and rule interpretations that you must confirm against the official Pilot's Operating Handbook / Airplane Flight Manual, current FAA regulations, and a certificated flight instructor. You are solely responsible for the legal and safe operation of any aircraft. We expressly disclaim liability for decisions made in reliance on the app.
Where calibrated data has not been confirmed, the app shows "Unverified" and renders no yes/no answer. This is intentional. Do not infer eligibility from an Unverified result or from an indicated (KIAS) hint.
The app offers a one-time, non-consumable unlock through the Apple App Store. Purchases, refunds, and restoration are governed by Apple's terms. The unlock grants access to the full database, offline use, and search; it does not change any verdict's substance.
If you submit aircraft data, you represent that you have the right to share it and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. We review submissions before they affect a verdict and may decline or remove any submission.
Do not misuse the app, attempt to misrepresent its output as an official authorization, or rely on it as a substitute for required preflight planning and currency.
We may update these terms and the underlying data and rule logic as the regulation and sourced data evolve. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
